Job Details

This is an exciting part-time role based in NWOS, Leigh (WN7 3XJ) that offers the opportunity to achieve high standards of customer service, dispensing prescription medication and other medical appliances to patients under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Hours: 25 hours per week, 5 hours per day. Working days are Monday to Friday, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Job Purpose

To provide excellent customer service by accurately dispensing prescription medications and medical appliances, processing orders via phone, email, and online portals in compliance with company regulations and timelines. The role involves contacting customers to update on order status and stock availability. A good understanding of product norms and quantities from part 9 of the drug tariff is desirable; training will be provided. The role also emphasizes understanding customer needs and effective communication to resolve queries and complaints with professionalism and patience.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Deliver high-quality customer care to ensure maximum satisfaction.
  • Process inbound and outbound orders accurately following local SOPs.
  • Resolve customer queries promptly and report progress within agreed timescales.
  • Inform Team Leaders of any issues requiring escalation.
  • Handle complaints and challenging situations calmly and effectively.
  • Maintain and update product and process knowledge regularly.
  • Ensure confidentiality of customer information in line with GDPR and regulatory requirements.
