Job summary

IKEA Leeds is seeking Customer Order Pickers to join our fast-paced Fulfilment Operations team. You’ll be hands-on with picking, packing and prepping orders, using systems to prepare customer orders and assist shoppers at the desk.

The role suits energetic individuals who enjoy teamwork and a active warehouse environment. We offer an hourly rate of £13.45, flexible 16/18/24 hour contracts, shifts 6am–9:30pm, and a strong benefits package including discount, life cover, pension, loans, wellbeing

Qualifications

• Able to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Willing to work across early and late shifts and 4–5 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Using systems to pick and prepare customer orders in a timely manner.
• Manual handling of heavy stock.
• Assist in-store customers with inquiries, facilitate item pickups, and operate the warehouse sales desk.
• Operate heavy machinery such as forklift trucks to transport goods safely.
• Ensure safety protocols and health & safety regulations are followed.

Job description

• Manual handling of heavy stock.


• Assist in-store customers with inquiries, facilitate item pickups, and operate the warehouse sales desk.


• Working with or around heavy machinery, such as, Forklift trucks, counterbalance, pump trucks, to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.


• Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co-workers.


• Experience in utilising technical equipment to enhance productivity and efficiency.


• Ensure you are prepared to initiate tasks on your own initiative and to participate productively in group efforts.


• Compliance with health and safety guidelines necessitates that applicants are 18 years of age or older.


• Having fun! Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential, all you will need is the enthusiasm to thrive in an active workplace.

We at IKEA Leeds are looking to welcome Customer Order Pickers to join our hard-working fulfilment team. In IKEA we call this a Fulfilment Operations Co-worker. As an Operations Co-worker in IKEA's Fulfilment team, you'll be right in the heart of the action-picking, packing, and prepping orders. What we offer

• Competitive hourly rate of £13.45 per hour.


• 16, 18 or 24 hours, working 4-5 days per week with every fourth weekend off, there will be a variety of shifts working between 6am - 9.30pm
