Job summary

IKEA Leeds is seeking a Customer Order Picker to join our busy Fulfilment team. As a Fulfilment Operations Co-worker you’ll pick, pack, and prep orders with care in a fast-paced environment.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £13.45, flexible 16, 18, or 24 hours per week across 4–5 days, with shifts between 6am-9.30pm. Start date 27 September 2026. Join us to contribute, grow, and enjoy benefits.

Qualifications

• Warehouse experience is beneficial, enthusiasm to thrive in active workplace.
• Ability to prioritise and organise workload with attention to detail.
• Experience using technical equipment to boost productivity.
• 18+ and able to perform extensive manual handling.

Responsibilities

• Use systems to pick and prepare customer orders promptly.
• Physically handle heavy stock.
• Assist in-store customers and operate the warehouse sales desk.
• Operate heavy machinery like forklift trucks safely.
• Follow all safety protocols for a secure environment.

We at IKEA Leeds are looking to welcome Customer Order Pickers to join our hard-working fulfilment team. In IKEA we call this a Fulfilment Operations Co-worker. As an Operations Co-worker in IKEA's Fulfilment team, you'll be right in the heart of the action—picking, packing, and prepping orders. It's a fast-paced, hands-on role where teamwork, energy, and a knack for staying organised turn a busy day into a satisfying one. WHAT WE OFFER

• Start Date of employment will be: 27th September 2026


• Competitive hourly rate of £13.45 per hour.


• 16, 18 or 24 hours, working 4-5 days per week with every fourth weekend off, there will be a variety of shifts working between 6am-9.30pm

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

• Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential, all you will need is the enthusiasm to thrive in an active workplace.


• Ability to prioritise and organise your workload swiftly and with attention to detail.


• Experience in utilising technical equipment to enhance productivity and efficiency.


• Ensure you are prepared to initiate tasks on your own initiative and to participate productively in group efforts.


• Compliance with health and safety guidelines necessitates that applicants are 18 years of age or older.


• Be comfortable with extensive manual handling.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• Using systems to pick and prepare customer orders in a timely manner.


• Manual handling of heavy stock.


• Assist in-store customers with inquiries, facilitate item pickups, and operate the warehouse sales desk.


• Working with or around heavy machinery, such as, Forklift trucks, counterbalance, pump trucks, to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.


• Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co-workers.
