Job summary

IKEA Edinburgh is seeking Warehouse Assistants to join our Fulfilment Operations team. You will help ensure accurate stock, prepare orders for delivery or click-and-collect, and support customers in store and behind the scenes in our external warehouse.

The role involves active, manual work with safety as a priority. We offer a supportive environment, flexible options within the 39-hour full-time pattern or 24 hours for part-time, and a starting date of 26 September 2026.

Qualifications

• Ability to prioritise and organise workload swiftly and with attention to detail.
• Experience using technical equipment to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Proactive in taking own initiative and contributing to group efforts.
• Comfortable using computers and handheld devices to support picking/filling stock and answering customer questions.

Responsibilities

• Manually handle all products from LACK Coffee Tables to PAX Wardrobes.
• Operate around heavy machinery such as forklift trucks to transport heavy goods safely.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations for a secure environment for customers and co-workers.
• Pick and check customer orders across the store for delivery or click and collect.
• Hand out orders at the click and collect area.

WHAT WE OFFER

• The Start Date of employment will be: 26th September 2026
• This role offers an hourly rate of £13.45
• Full-time: 39 hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days, weekend on/weekend off.
• Part-time: 24 hours weekly, working 4 days out of 7 and 3 out of 4 weekends.
• Working hours are between 7am-9:15pm.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• You will be required to manually handle all of our products ranging from LACK Coffee Tables to PAX Wardrobes.
• Working with or around heavy machinery, such as, Forklift trucks, counterbalance, pump trucks, to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.
• Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co-workers.
• Picking and checking customer orders across the store ready for delivery or click and collect.
• Handing out orders on our click and collect area.
