IKEA Cardiff is looking to welcome Sales Assistants to their sales team. Join our team as a Sales Assistant and be the welcoming face that helps customers find exactly what they need.

This busy role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives during peak shifts, and takes pride in delivering reliable customer service. You’ll support the store by presenting products, keeping spaces tidy, and ensuring pricing is visible.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-moving, customer-facing environment would be a great advantage.
• Confident using computers and digital tools, with the ability to pick up new IKEA systems and processes with ease.
• You have a customer first mindset, where you make the customer feel valued and supported in everything you do.
• You take initiative, make well-informed choices, and actively with your daily tasks.
• Prioritise and organise your own work to make efficient use of the time available with great attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide an inspirational shopping experience for our customers by actively approaching them to identify their needs and advising them on the best solutions for their life at home.
• Motivated by the range, curious to learn the stories behind the products and their design.
• You support sales by ensuring your area of responsibility is clean, fully stocked, all products priced, well presented and easy to shop.
• Manual handling and heavy lifting of various stock safely.

You'll play a key part in creating a welcoming shopping experience, offering product advice, and keeping the store looking its best. WHAT WE OFFER

• The Start Date of employment will be: 27th September 2026
• Competitive hourly rate of £13.45 per hour.
• 12, 20 & 24 hours per week contracts, working 3, 4 or 5 days per week (dependant on contract size), working 3 out of 4 weekends per month. Evening availability until 9.00pm is essential.
• We can discuss flexibility to match your life and our business needs during the interview, for example weekend only contracts.
