Job summary

HSBC Group is seeking an experienced Customer Intelligence Analyst on a fixed-term contract in the United Kingdom to drive data-informed decisions. You will transform complex data into actionable narratives, partnering with Data Engineering and Analytics Engineering to shape growth opportunities and improve customer experience.

The role requires strong SQL, experience with BI tools (Tableau/Power BI/Looker), and the ability to communicate insights to stakeholders across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience within customer analytics, data analysis, or insight-driven roles, using data to influence decision-making
• Strong SQL capability and experience working with large, complex datasets
• Experience using BI and visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to communicate insights effectively
• Understanding of analytical techniques including segmentation, hypothesis testing, predictive modelling, or AI/advanced analytics tools
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Analyse customer data to identify trends, drivers, and opportunities related to customer growth, engagement, and experience
• Develop and maintain customer datasets, metrics, dashboards, and reporting solutions that support enterprise decision-making
• Partner with Data Engineering and Analytics Engineering teams to define data requirements, validate pipelines and improve data models
• Apply analytical techniques such as segmentation, driver analysis, trend analysis, and AI-enabled analytics to deepen customer understanding
• Translate complex analysis into clear narratives, visualisations, and actionable recommendations for stakeholders across the business
• Experience within customer analytics, data analysis, or insight-driven roles, using data to influence decision-making
