Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a vigilant Security professional to help create a safe environment for visitors and staff in Slough. You will deliver excellent customer service, manage access, and respond to incidents while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

The role requires SIA licenses (SG/DS/CCTV where applicable), BS7858 clearance, and a full UK driving licence with own vehicle. You will work 4 out of 7 days including nights and weekends, with training and development

Qualifications

• BS7858 clearance required.
• SIA Licence – Security Guard (SG).
• SIA Licence – Door Supervisor (DS) (if applicable to scope).
• SIA Licence – CCTV (if applicable to scope).
• First aid qualification.
• Customer service experience.
• Written and verbal communication required to meet deliverables of role.
• Reliable, punctual and approachable.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle essential.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a positive commitment to a high level of customer service, professional presentation, and confidentiality at all times.
• Always display excellent situational awareness.
• Facilitate access/egress to building(s) whilst maintaining a high level of client facing and customer service skills.
• Be aware of protest and demonstration activity and respond/escalate as appropriate.
• Assist staff, guests and contractors and public bodies regarding information, direction, or queries in a professional manner.
• Fully conversant with operating procedures and follow them.
• Assist during major incidents as instructed.
• Display your SIA licence on duty.
• Maintain accurate records/logs and submit reports as instructed.
• Participate in staff welfare or development programmes and mandatory training.
• Use communication tools (radio/phones) clearly and confidently.
• Carry out any other reasonable request as required.
