Job summary

Screwfix Direct is hiring a Retail Assistant to be at the heart of our store operations in the UK. You’ll welcome customers, understand their needs, and guide them to the right products, helping ensure a smooth shopping experience.

You’ll assist with deliveries, stock control, and order picking while contributing to a positive team environment and learning through extensive training. No prior retail experience is required; a friendly, flexible attitude and eagerness to learn are valued.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a team and support colleagues.

• Great communicator who helps customers effectively.
• No prior retail experience required; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Host - you'll welcome customers into your store, understand what they need, guide them to the right products, and make it super easy for them
• Warehouse standards - you'll assist with deliveries, maintaining product stock, collecting customer orders and keeping standards high
• Part of the team - you'll join a team who take pride in their store, work together and have lots of fun along the way!
• Prepared to work hard and make the most of our training
• A great communicator who loves to help people
• Willing to learn, you don't need retail experience to succeed
