Job summary

One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco, is seeking a Customer Service Assistant to join our fast-paced retail team. You will be engaged in daily store operations, delivering great customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments and maintaining a welcoming store appearance.

You will continuously seek ways to improve the service experience, contribute to a safe work and shopping environment, and follow company policies, including Think 25 for age-restricted products.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Stock shelves, process payments and help maintain the store's appearance.
• Look for ways to improve service in-store through on-the-job coaching and feedback.
• Contribute to a safe working and shopping environment by following safety procedures.
• Clock in and out at the start and end of shifts to ensure accurate pay.
• Follow the Think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products and respond quickly to assistance calls on self-service checkouts.
• Keep aisles clear, store tidy and organised, and support across areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines.
• In the absence of your Shift Leader and Store Manager you may run the shift and ensure training is applied to keep everyone safe and compliant.
• If the store has a Post Office Local, duties include day-to-day post office operations and passing required background checks.
