Job summary

John Lewis Partnership in Milton Keynes is seeking a Customer Assistant to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain high shop standards. You’ll support till work, stock replenishment, and price ticketing while creating a welcoming store environment.

The role offers varied hours across seven days with a night premium of £3.75 per hour for night shifts; base pay is £13.00 per hour, rising to £13.25 after 90 days, in Milton Keynes.

Qualifications

• Basic IT literacy is required.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Experience in a customer-facing role is welcomed but not essential.
• Merchandising and product displays experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and inspirational customer service at every stage of the customer journey.
• Use product knowledge and training to drive sales and increase profits for the Partnership.
• Put the customer at the heart of everything, addressing queries and needs.
• Support the wider team with till work, stock replenishment, price ticketing and shop-keeping.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
• Help protect profits with accurate stock checks.
