Job summary

Skipton Building Society in Preston is recruiting a Customer Service Consultant on a fixed term contract. The role is full time (36 hours per week) to support branch operating hours, with a salary of £25,500 per annum and a range of benefits, including an annual discretionary bonus.

You will engage with customers in-branch and over the phone, offering information on savings products and services while delivering a high standard of service.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers.
• Experience in a Contact Centre environment.
• Background in retail, food & beverage or health/care sectors welcomed.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, 'one-team' mindset with strong time management.

Responsibilities

• Be the First Point of Contact: warmly welcome customers in-branch and over the phone.
• Engage and Understand: ask insightful questions to uncover needs and tailor solutions.
• Listen and Tailor Solutions: provide personalized recommendations for customers.
• Proactive Outreach: contact customers by phone to discuss needs and support them.
• Maintain Accurate Records: keep customer records up-to-date in internal systems.
• Adhere to Policies: follow company policies with training and coaching.
