Job Description:
My client, a leading IT Solutions provider, is seeking to recruit a Desktop Support Engineer to join an expanding Customer Support team. This company has over 10,000 employees worldwide and supports numerous large Enterprise Customers. The role requires the following skills:
- Own, investigate, and resolve customer technical issues, collaborating within and across teams using troubleshooting tools and practices.
- Participate in peer communities and share knowledge where appropriate.
- Develop technical and professional skills through training and readiness programs to resolve customer issues.
- Identify potential product defects and escalate appropriately to contribute to Microsoft product improvements.
- Fluency in English with effective communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- At least 3 years of experience in technical support or a related field.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong knowledge of Office 365 technologies.
- Experience with Office Setup & Deployment processes.
- Proficiency with Office Core applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Publisher, InfoPath, Access), including interface, usage, functions, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of Office integration with Windows, third-party network shares/OS, mobiles, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Preferred additional skills include networking knowledge, communication protocols (FTP, HTTP), object-oriented programming, and technical literacy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs):
- Relevant Microsoft Technology Certifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
- Experience in technical consulting or similar IT roles is preferred.
