Customer Delivery Driver, Supermarket Assistant

About the role
As a Customer Delivery Driver, you'll deliver quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service directly to customers' doors. When not on deliveries, you'll support the shop team with tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's efficient operation. You must be 18 or older to apply.

Key Responsibilities

1. Check your delivery routes for the day.
2. Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are organized for efficient delivery.
3. Complete vehicle safety checks, maintaining road compliance and safety standards.
4. Represent the Waitrose brand with excellent customer service.
5. Assist customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
6. Support shop team tasks when needed.

Essential skills/experience

• Valid UK manual driving license (Category B) with no more than 6 points.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good time management.
• Ability to handle physical tasks like lifting crates and moving cages.
• Self-motivated and adaptable, able to work independently.
• IT literacy.

Desirable skills/experience

• Previous driving experience, knowledge of chilled vehicles is a plus.
