Customer Delivery Driver, Supermarket Assistant

About the role
As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you'll bring quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service directly to customers' doors. You'll embody our ethos—passionate Partners serving food lovers. When not on deliveries, you'll support the shop team with tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's efficient and friendly operation. Please note, you must be 18 or older to work in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Start your day in-store, checking your delivery routes.
• Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are ready for efficient delivery.
• Complete vehicle safety checks, maintaining road compliance and safety standards.
• Represent the Waitrose brand on the road with excellent customer service.
• Assist customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
• Support shop tasks as needed, including general shopkeeping.

Essential skills/experience

• Full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good time management.
• Ability to handle physical tasks like lifting crates and moving cages.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently.
• IT literacy.

Desirable skills/experience

• Previous driving experience, especially with chilled vehicles, is a plus.
