Customer Delivery Driver, Supermarket Assistant

About the role
As a Customer Delivery Driver, you'll deliver quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service directly to customers' doors. When not on deliveries, you'll support the shop team with tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's efficient operation. Applicants must be 18 or older. Key Responsibilities You will typically start your day in-store and be responsible for:

• Checking your delivery routes.
• Loading and preparing your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are organized for efficient delivery.
• Performing vehicle safety checks to maintain road safety and compliance.
• Representing the Waitrose brand with excellent customer service.
• Assisting customers with shopping and building rapport based on trust and service.
• Supporting shop tasks as needed.

Essential skills/experience - Valid UK manual driving license (B-Category) with no more than 6 points. - Excellent customer service skills. - Good time management. - Ability to handle physical tasks like lifting crates and cages. - Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently. - IT literacy. Preferred skills/experience - Previous driving experience, knowledge of chilled vehicles is a plus.
