Job summary

Tesco is seeking a customer delivery driver to represent the brand on the road, delivering groceries to customers’ homes with a friendly, helpful attitude. The role is hands-on, physical and varies day to day, with a minimum weekly hour guarantee and shifts starting from 12 hours, offering manageable flexibility.

Pay starts at £14.18 per hour and rises to £15.45 within M25 stores, with additional payments possible in some locations.

Qualifications

• Valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months.
• No more than 3 penalty points on licence.

Responsibilities

• Keep van, trays and work area clean, tidy and organised for each delivery.
• Load the van safely and perform vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness.
• Explain order changes or substitutions to customers and process refunds when needed to ensure a smooth experience.
• Handle products with care to maintain quality and customer trust.
• Deliver within the customer’s time slot and provide warm, natural service at the doorstep.
