Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver for Waitrose & Partners in Paddock Wood, Kent. You’ll deliver quality produce to customers’ doors and support the shop team with daily tasks. Night hours include a premium of £3.75 per hour for night shifts, under a part-time two-week rota.

The role requires a full UK manual licence (B-category), strong customer service, and the ability to manage time while handling physical duties. DBS/vetting may apply as part of the process.

Qualifications

• Full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6-points.
• Great customer service skills.
• Time management skills.
• Able to cope with the physical requirements of the role (lifting crates, moving cages).
• IT literate.
• Desirable: previous driving experience and knowledge of chilled vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Check delivery routes for the day.
• Load and prepare van for deliveries and ensure orders are ready for direct delivery to customers.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks and maintain road compliance.
• Represent the Waitrose brand with excellent customer service on the road.
• Assist customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
• Support shop team with general duties when required.
