Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is hiring Customer Delivery Drivers to bring Waitrose produce and Partner-led service to customers’ doors. It’s a busy, physical, customer-facing role where safety and professionalism matter. You’ll drive modern vans, help customers with substitutions, and ensure orders are delivered with care.

A full UK manual licence (B) with up to 6 penalty points and being 18+ are essential. Varied hours across seven days, including mornings, evenings and weekends, with flexible

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and eligible to work in the UK.
• Full UK manual driving licence (B-category) with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Excellent people skills and customer service mindset.
• Physical role requiring lifting crates and moving items up to ~18kg.

Responsibilities

• Be a friendly face for the Waitrose brand while on the road; delivering great customer service as the primary goal.
• Discuss substitutions or changes with customers and arrange refunds quickly if needed.
• Handle products with care and ensure they are delivered safely and accurately.
• Explain to customers that substitutions will not incur extra charges and maintain trust.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with customers during deliveries.
• Familiarise yourself with daily delivery routes and perform full van safety checks.
• Support the wider CFC team with warehouse tasks when not on deliveries.
