Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring Waitrose produce and partner-led service to customers’ doors. You’ll start in-store, then drive well-equipped vehicles, and complete daily shop tasks. Expect varied full-time hours (37.5 per week) across seven days, with DBS checks possible during recruitment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• Hold a full UK manual car license (B) with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Bring excellent people skills and a friendly customer service approach.
• Be ready for physical work, including lifting crates up to ~18 kg.

Responsibilities

• Be a friendly face for the Waitrose brand while on the road and deliver great customer service.
• Chat with customers about order changes and process refunds if needed.
• Handle deliveries with care, treating items as if your own.
• Ensure substitutions do not incur extra charges for customers.
• Assist customers with groceries and build trusting relationships.
• Familiarise yourself with the delivery route for the day.
• Conduct a full safety check on the delivery van and comply with safety rules.
• Support wider CFC team with general warehouse tasks when not on the road.
