Job summary

Tesco is looking for Customer Delivery Drivers to meet customers in their homes across the UK. This role goes beyond driving, focusing on friendly service and helping people with a smile.

It is hands-on, physical, and varied, often independent, with a supportive team back at base. Pay starts at £14.18 per hour, rising to £15.45 in M25 stores, with a guaranteed minimum of 16 hours per week (some roles from 12 hours).

Qualifications

• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Be warm and welcoming with customers and colleagues.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues to create great team spirit and deliver the best service for customers.

Responsibilities

• Keeping your van, trays, and work area clean, tidy, and organised so every customer receives their shopping in perfect condition.
• Loading the van safely and completing all checks to ensure it’s roadworthy and ready to deliver great service.
• Talking customers through any order changes or substitutions in a friendly way, offering refunds where needed to keep the experience smooth.
• Handling products with care to maintain quality and customer trust.
• Delivering within the customer’s time slot and providing warm, natural service at the doorstep.
