Job summary

Asda in Wakefield is seeking a part-time Customer Delivery Driver to join our store team. You will deliver groceries to customers’ front doors, load your van and provide friendly service with a smile.

You will work afternoons, 22.5 hours per week, with training provided. When not on the road, you’ll keep the van clean and may help the team by picking and packing online orders during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid UK Driving Licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced customer service environment.
• Good communication skills and a team mindset.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Load and deliver groceries to customers' homes / addresses.
• Keep your van clean and ready for the next delivery.
• Help the team during busy periods, including picking and packing online orders.

Whether you’re loading your van or delivering to your regular customers, you’ll play a vital role in the smooth running of our operation, serving customers and putting them at the heart of everything by delivering our products right to their front door with a smile. When you're not on the road, you'll make sure your van is clean and fit for the next delivery (don't worry, you don't need to be an expert mechanic – we'll give you all the training you need) and when we are really busy, you'll be asked to help your team, picking and packing online orders.
