Job summary

ASDA in Eastgate is hiring a Customer Delivery Driver to join the store team on a permanent, full-time basis. You’ll load your van, deliver to regular customers, and ensure the vehicle is clean and ready for the next shift.

Expect a 36-hour week at a rate of £13.10 per hour, with shifts during the day, weekends and evenings. Training is provided and you’ll work with a supportive team focused on outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• A valid UK Driving Licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
• A friendly and helpful approach to customer service.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced customer service environment.
• Good communication skills and a team mindset.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings – no two days are the same.

Responsibilities

• Load your van and deliver to regular customers, ensuring prompt service.
• Deliver products to customers’ front doors with a smile.
• Keep the van clean and ready for the next delivery shift.
• Assist the team during busy periods with online order picking and packing.

When you're not on the road, you'll make sure your van is clean and fit for the next delivery (don't worry, you don't need to be an expert mechanic – we'll give you all the training you need) and when we are really busy, you'll be asked to help your team, picking and packing online orders.
