Job summary

Asda Stores Ltd in Colchester is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver on a part-time permanent contract. You’ll load your van, deliver to regular customers and bring products to their front door with a smile, while keeping the van clean and ready for the next run.

You'll work afternoons, 22.5 hours per week, with shifts including weekends and evenings. Training is provided and you’ll be part of a supportive store team focused on friendly, efficient service.

Qualifications

• A valid UK Driving Licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
• A friendly and helpful approach to customer service.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced customer service environment.
• Good communication skills and a team mindset.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings - no two days are the same.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload the delivery van.
• Deliver groceries to customers’ homes with a smile.
• Assist with picking and packing online orders when needed.
• Keep the van clean and ready for the next delivery shift.

Whether you're loading your van or delivering to your regular customers, you'll play a vital role in the smooth running of our operation, serving customers and putting them at the heart of everything by delivering our products right to their front door with a smile. When you're not on the road, you'll make sure your van is clean and fit for the next delivery (don't worry, you don't need to be an expert mechanic - we'll give you all the training you need) and when we are really busy, you'll be asked to help your team, picking and packing online orders.
