Job summary

Asda Stores Ltd in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver on a part-time permanent basis. You’ll load your van and deliver groceries to customers’ front doors with a friendly, professional approach. You’ll also help with van checks, packing online orders, and keeping vehicles ready for the next delivery.

You’ll need a valid UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points, a flexible attitude to weekend/evening shifts, and good communication to assist customers and colleagues alike.

Qualifications

• A valid UK Driving Licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Friendly and helpful approach to customer service.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced customer service environment.
• Good communication skills and a team mindset.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload the delivery van and deliver to customers' front doors with a smile.
• Support the team during busy periods, including online order packing and preparation.
• Keep the van clean and ready for the next delivery run.

Whether you’re loading your van or delivering to your regular customers, you’ll play a vital role in the smooth running of our operation, serving customers and putting them at the heart of everything by delivering our products right to their front door with a smile. When you're not on the road, you'll make sure your van is clean and fit for the next delivery (don't worry, you don't need to be an expert mechanic – we'll give you all the training you need) and when we are really busy, you'll be asked to help your team, picking and packing online orders.
