Job summary

Marks & Spencer is seeking a Customer Assistant for our Bakery section. You’ll work early shifts, delivering fresh bread and maintaining high food quality under pressure. A hands-on, team‑oriented role requires attention to detail and a customer‑focused attitude.

You’ll join a fast-paced environment where flexibility, speed, and safety are essential to providing five-star service to customers and keeping shelves stocked during peak hours.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older due to working with specialist cutting equipment
• Ability to work early mornings, with shifts starting around 04:00
• Good attention to detail and a positive team attitude

Responsibilities

• Deliver hot bread and fresh produce to customers with speed and care
• Keep bakery shelves stocked and customers impressed
• Balance speed with safety to maintain food quality and freshness during peak hours
• Work closely with colleagues across different roles to meet store targets
• Be flexible and adapt to the store's rhythms, embracing each shift with energy
