Night shift is where the magic happens. Deliveries come in, shelves are restocked, and everything has to be ready for the next day. It’s a great starting point or development opportunity in retail management, helping you develop essential skills.
You’ll lead the overnight team, managing store operations during your shift. Training will equip you with the confidence to lead your team, plan resources effectively, and ensure customer satisfaction.
What you’ll be doing
Our purpose is to serve and help every customer, driven by our passion for food.
Your team will restock shelves, handle warehouse deliveries, and assist with overnight online picking. You’ll ensure everything is in place for the morning. Your focus will be on operational management — running the shift smoothly, managing performance and time, and demonstrating a decisive, organized, and inclusive approach.
Working at night isn’t for everyone, but an additional annual premium of up to £4,500 is offered for nightshift management roles, where eligible.
During your shift, you’ll be responsible for the shift’s success. You’ll plan shift patterns and activities with other managers and provide a thorough handover at the end of your shift.
