Job summary

B&Q plc is seeking a Checkouts Customer Advisor in Maidstone. You’ll be an expert advisor and a guide, getting to know every customer and their home improvement projects.

You’ll help with sales, click & collect, setting up displays, and maintaining a great store appearance while delivering excellent service at the tills. We’re looking for someone friendly and outgoing, who enjoys helping others and is eager to learn.

Qualifications

• Friendly and outgoing, with a buzz for helping others.
• Happy to learn and adapt to new technology and ways of working.
• Great at working in a team and flexible for weekends, evenings, and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the checkouts and via tills.
• Provide friendly advice and exceptional customer service.
• Support in setting up displays and ensuring the store looks welcoming.

What's the job?
Join our team, and you'll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like click & collect, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You'll have the opportunity to be trained in various areas, but on the tills truly great customer service will be your main aim.
What we need:
Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you'll be right at home with us. You're friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You'll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You're great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
