Job summary

RH Commercials invites applicants to join the 15‑month Parts/Trade Supplier Apprenticeship at Coventry. You'll learn to assist customers, order parts, handle invoices and returns, and support the workshop team. The programme combines GTG delivery with on‑the‑job training and culminates in EPA assessment.

The role suits school leavers or career changers with a passion for automotive parts, good English and maths, and a desire to develop practical knowledge in a dynamic parts environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum (Grade C/4 or above) in English and Maths.
• Interest in automotive and excited by the prospect of working with our commercial vehicles.
• Willing to learn and take ownership of your career.

Responsibilities

• Help customers order the right parts face to face or by phone.
• Give quotes for parts.
• Help solve customer problems.
• Process sales transactions, including invoices and credits, and handle returns.
• Coordinate with service desk and workshop departments.
• Compile parts from job cards for repairs in the workshop.
• Maintain current product knowledge.

40 hours per week

ROTATING SHIFTS:

Week 1 Monday to Friday 6.30am to 3pm,

Week 2 Monday to Friday 12.30pm to 9pm

1 in 2 Saturday mornings paid at overtime rate

APPRENTICE LEVEL:Level 2 Qualification in Trade Supplier

This dedicated 15 Month programme is delivered with GTG and will help you build your knowledge and skills to become a great Parts Advisor. You’ll learn how to give a great customer experience, ordering parts to customers, processing returns and payments and carrying out stock checks.

With this Parts/ Trade Supplier apprentice,you’ll get involved in everything we do and gain lots of hands-on experience throughout your apprenticeship.

What does a Parts/ Trade Supplier do?

• Helps customers order the right parts for their vehicle, face to face and over the phone
• Give quotes for parts
• Help solve any customer problems
• Process sales transactions, including raising invoices and credits for goods supplied and handling returns
• Co-ordinate with other departments, such as the service desk and the workshop
• Compile parts from job cards for repairs being carried out in the workshop.
• Ensures they have current product knowledge
