Are you naturally good with people, enjoy building relationships and like being the person customers know they can rely on?

We are working with a friendly, close-knit business in Redhill that is looking for a Customer Account Advisor to join its team. This is a varied role combining customer service, account management and commercial opportunities - ideal for someone who enjoys having ownership of their customers rather than simply working through a list of enquiries.

You will become a key point of contact for a portfolio of customers, building strong relationships and making sure they receive a great service every time. Some customers order regularly, while others need a little more proactive contact, giving you the opportunity to really get to know your accounts and understand what they need.

Salary: £27,000

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm (½ hour lunch) with some flexibility to be discussed

Location: Redhill

What will you be doing?

• Managing your own portfolio of customer accounts and building strong, long-term relationships.
• Being the first point of contact for customer queries, from orders and deliveries to stock availability and any issues that need resolving.
• Processing orders accurately and efficiently, including those received by email.
• Keeping in regular contact with customers, sharing relevant promotions, products and special offers.
• Spotting opportunities to introduce customers to additional products where they genuinely fit their needs.
• Working on targeted campaigns designed to grow your accounts.
• Keeping customer records and administration up to date.
• Working closely with a small, supportive team while taking ownership of your own workload.

About you

We are looking for a Customer Account Advisor who is confident speaking with customers and enjoys developing genuine relationships.

You may already have experience in customer service, account management, telesales, sales support, client services or a similar role. More important than a particular job title is your ability to communicate well, stay organised and confidently have commercial conversations with customers.

You’ll need to be proactive, personable and comfortable picking up the phone, while also being someone who takes pride in getting the details right.
