Job summary

Marella Cruises is seeking three Wipers to join the Marella Discovery for temporary work onboard. You will perform daily maintenance and cleaning in engine spaces under the supervision of the Engineer in charge.

Requirements include STCW 95, Engine Watch Rating A-III/4, valid Schengen and C1D visas, physical fitness, and fluent English. The role involves long hours, an offshore vessel environment, and rotation as per contract.

Qualifications

• Valid STCW 95 certification.
• Valid Engine Watch Rating certification A-III/4.
• Good knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, operation and maintenance of vessel machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Experience with stripping engines down and rebuilding.
• Experience on vessels in an equivalent position.
• Physically and medically fit.
• Moral integrity is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning and painting of engine room spaces and machinery.
• Assists Engineers with overhauls of engines and auxiliaries, pumps, welding, lathe work and pipe fittings.
• Maintains cleanliness and order in engine spaces and tools.
• Keeps supervisors informed of progress and any safety issues.
• Ensures proper use of PPE and safety devices.
