Job summary

V.Ships Leisure Recruitment is seeking an experienced Wiper to join BALEARIA RoRo Passenger ferries. The role involves daily engine room maintenance, cleaning, and assisting engineers with repairs and overhauls. Embarkation is ASAP, with a contract of 4 months ± 1 month and shipboard duties.

Candidates must hold valid STCW 95 certification and Engine Watch Rating A-III/4, plus AB certifications as required. English fluency and readiness to live aboard are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Wiper on RoRo Passenger vessels.
• Valid STCW 95 certification and Engine Watch Rating A-III/4.
• Mandatory certifications for ABs: STCW III/4, PSCRB, AFF (as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily maintenance and cleaning of engine spaces and machinery as directed by the Engineer in charge.
• Assist Engineers with maintenance tasks including overhauls, pumps and welding.
• Ensure safety regulations are followed and report any deficiencies promptly to the Engineer on duty.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in engine spaces and related equipment.
