Job summary

Marella Cruises is seeking an experienced Motorman to join the Marella Discovery on a shipboard contract. You will assist with routine checks, operation, and maintenance of vessel machinery, under supervision of the Staff and Duty Engineers.

The role requires STCW 95 and ASE A-III/5 certifications, along with proven welding and lathe skills. Applicants must be fluent in English, physically fit, and able to live and work in close quarters at sea.

Qualifications

• STCW 95 certification is required.
• ASE A-III/5 certification is required.
• Experience on vessels in an equivalent position is preferred.
• Candidate must be physically and medically fit.
• Moral integrity is required.

Responsibilities

• Stand engine watch as instructed by the Staff Engineer.
• Supervise and inspect machinery spaces during watch and report deficiencies.
• Maintain and repair Diesel Generators and Main Engines under supervision.
• Perform engine-related maintenance like fuel system, lubrication and cooling systems checks.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health and pollution prevention regulations.
