Job summary

Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a Peripatetic Receptionist to join our Surgical Reception team in Exeter. This 12-month fixed-term post is 22.5 hours per week, with shifts across the department Monday to Friday and cross-cover across Heavitree site as required.

As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, you will provide a warm, professional reception, respond to calls, greet and direct people, and support consultants and staff.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a courteous, professional manner.
• Experience in customer service or front-desk roles is desirable.
• Able to work in a hospital environment and coordinate with clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-douse reception for patients and visitors.
• Answer telephone inquiries and direct people around the department.
• Support consultants and other hospital staff as needed; cross-cover across Surgical Reception areas.
