Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions in London is recruiting a Critical Services Technician to join the team on a continental shift pattern (days/nights). You will handle day-to-day work orders and maintain critical mechanical and electrical systems.

The role requires fault-finding, log maintenance, and collaboration with contractors, with a focus on safety, customer service, and delivering results in high-pressured environments.

Qualifications

• Must hold City & Guilds in Electrical or an equivalent HNC.
• Excellent administrative skills and computer literacy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Qualify and act as an appointed Authorized Person (AP) within 6 months from onboarding.
• Maintain an up-to-date log of work completed and outstanding items through the in-house system.
• Ensure that all contractors and staff comply with all company, client safety, and security requirements.
• Participate in the critical services training program.
• Ensure effective communication with the client and management team.
• Operate as a team with other technicians by sharing expertise and experience to help resolve operational problems.
• Provide holiday, training & sickness cover for other members of the shift team.
• Track and complete Critical Services Planned Preventative Maintenance and provide condition assessments of plant and equipment.
• Log and action all out-of-line situations with incident reports.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
• Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
