Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking an Engineering Technician for a continental shift in Redhill, England. The role focuses on resolving day-to-day work orders and maintaining critical client environments to meet timeframes and satisfaction targets.

The position is part of the Critical and Technical Services function, requiring a proactive, safety-conscious technician with strong technical knowledge and the ability to work under supervision while developing as an Authorized Person.

Qualifications

• Educated to City & Guilds in Electrical (or HNC).
• Excellent administrative skills.
• Computer literate with good MS Office knowledge.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Procedure writing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Qualify and act as an appointed Authorized Person (AP) within 6 months from onboarding.
• Maintain an up-to-date log of work completed and outstanding items through the in-house system.
• Ensure that all contractors and staff comply with all company, client safety, and security requirements.
• Participate in the critical services training program.
• Ensure effective communication with the client and management team is maintained.
• Operate as a team with other technicians by sharing expertise and experience to help resolve operational problems.
• Provide holiday, training & sickness cover for other members of the shift team.
• Track and complete Critical Services Planned Preventative Maintenance and provide condition assessments of plant and equipment.
• Log and action all out-of-line situations with incident reports.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
• Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
