Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in London is recruiting a Critical Services Technician to maintain essential building systems within a high-profile Global Account. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical infrastructure to maximise uptime and resilience.

The role requires fault-finding expertise, knowledge of LV systems, UPS, generators and BMS, plus adherence to safety, permits to work and documentation protocols. Continental shift pattern applies.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Electrical Installation/Engineering or related discipline.
• Current BS7671 Wiring Regulations (18th Edition).
• Experience in commercial/industrial/critical facilities, data centres, healthcare, manufacturing, or regulated environments.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of LV electrical systems, UPS, generators, switchgear, and critical infrastructure.
• Understanding of health and safety legislation, permit-to-work, and safe isolation procedures.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Competent with Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
• Operate, monitor, fault-find and maintain electrical distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear and power systems.
• Perform routine inspections, condition assessments and performance checks on plant and equipment.
• Diagnose faults, undertake repairs to minimise downtime and disruption.
• Respond to emergency callouts and alarms within service levels.
• Support critical switching and isolations per procedures and site requirements.
• Monitor plant performance, alarms and trends; assist with incident investigations.
• Provide holiday, sickness, training and emergency cover for team members.
