Huntsville Hospital in Alabama seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide diagnostic and therapeutic care in critical and emergency settings. You will perform EKGs, blood gas analyses, Ventilator management, and collaborate with the care team to develop patient-centered plans.

You must hold NBRC certification and Alabama licensure, with ACLS/BLS credentials. The role requires strong communication and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• NBRC certification and Alabama licensure required.
• Diploma from highest level of education.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required before end of orientation; PALS and NRP preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform respiratory assessments with thorough documentation.
• Classify and update patient status and plan of care.
• Collaborate with physicians and care team to implement plan.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families; ensure confidentiality.
• Provide blood gas collection and analysis, and EKGs.
• Maintain supplies and assist in orientation of new staff.
