Job summary

Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Care professional to provide patient-centered respiratory therapies for infants, children and adolescents. The role covers pediatric critical care, emergency care and NICU settings, requiring collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, developing care plans and operating ventilators and related equipment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy, Respiratory Care or related field.
• Graduate of a CoARC-accredited Registered Respiratory Therapy program.
• CRT credential from NBRC.
• RRT credential must be obtained within one year of hire if not already held.
• Current Florida Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• PALS certification must be obtained within one year of hire when applicable.
• NRP and STABLE certifications must be obtained within one year of hire when assigned to the NICU.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient-centered respiratory care by assessing patients, developing care plans and administering prescribed respiratory therapies.
• Operates and monitors respiratory equipment, including invasive and noninvasive ventilators, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Education

Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy, Respiratory Care or related field

Graduate of a CoARC-accredited Registered Respiratory Therapy program

Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential within 1 year of hire

Current Florida Respiratory Care Practitioner license

Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)

PALS certification within 1 year of hire when applicable

NRP and STABLE certifications within 1 year of hire when assigned to NICU
