The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital invites applications for a 12-month fixed-term Clinical Facilitator in Adult Critical Care. The role combines direct bedside care with teaching, training and workforce development across the unit, supporting staff induction and clinical competency programs.

Ideal candidates are experienced band 5 nurses with post-registration critical care qualifications, mentorship training, and a commitment to education and professional standards within a busy

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with NMC registration and current licence.
• Post-registration qualification in critical care.
• Health-related degree in progress or completed.
• Mentorship/preceptorship training completed or relevant.
• Post-graduate certificate in medical education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 50% of contracted hours delivering direct clinical care in Adult Critical Care.
• Deliver education, training, competency assessment and workforce development in CCU for 50% of hours.
• Facilitate induction, preceptorship and competency programmes for staff and students.
• Support mandatory training, standards and national critical care requirements.
• Promote evidence-based practice and patient safety initiatives.
• Act as role model, mentor and coach for staff development and retention.
• Contribute to GPICS standards on workforce development and education.
• Provide leadership to promote high-quality patient care and develop competencies.
