Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in critical care education is essential.
• Post-registration critical care course required (ENB 100 or equivalent).
• Postgraduate teaching certificate or working towards one is required.
• Teaching and assessing qualification (ENB 998, City & Guilds 7307 or equivalent) desirable.

Job description

This Clinical Nurse Educator post sits within the critical care team at Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, working alongside the unit's current educator. The post-holder leads professional development for all critical care staff and helps shape the unit's education strategy. It is open to Band 6 or 7 critical care nurses with teaching and assessing experience, and the post-holder may need to cover the senior sister or charge nurse role. NMC registration, a critical care course and a teaching and assessing qualification are essential.
