Job summary

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Norwich is seeking a Clinical Facilitator to join the Critical Care Complex as a Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role blends direct critical care with education and workforce development, 50/50.

You will lead professional practice, deliver training, coordinate induction and preceptorship, and promote evidence-based patient care while ensuring compliance with national critical care standards.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse on the appropriate part of the NMC register.
• Post registration qualification relevant to the clinical area.
• Have or be working towards a health related degree.
• Mentorship preparation programme or equivalent if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care within Adult Critical Care for 50% of contracted hours.
• Support education, training, competency assessment, and workforce development for 50% of contracted hours.
• Facilitate induction, preceptorship and critical care competency programmes.
• Support compliance with mandatory training, professional standards, and national critical care requirements.
• Promote evidence-based practice, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
