Job summary

Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to lead the education and professional development for all critical care staff. The post holder will work alongside the unit's current educator to shape the department's teaching strategy and ensure high standards of clinical education.

The role requires Band 6 or 7 experience with teaching and assessing qualifications, NMC registration, and a commitment to advancing critical care education within a high-pressure

Qualifications

• Experience in critical care education is essential.
• Post-registration critical care course required (ENB 100 or equivalent).
• Postgraduate teaching certificate or working towards one is required.
• Teaching and assessing qualification (ENB 998, City & Guilds 7307 or equivalent) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the education and professional development of all critical care staff.
• Support the unit lead nurse in developing the unit's education strategy.
• Collaborate with the current clinical educator to improve teaching delivery.
• Create an environment that values education as part of critical care philosophy.
• Take on the senior sister or charge nurse clinical role as necessary.
