Job summary

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Facilitator - PACU to join the Main Theatres team. This role blends clinical practice with education, leadership, and quality improvement across PACU and theatre areas.

You will coordinate induction, preceptorship, and ongoing development for staff and learners, deliver teaching with partners in higher education, and drive audits and governance to enhance patient safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC).
• Significant peri-operative experience and a passion for education.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and digital literacy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate induction, preceptorship, and ongoing development programmes for theatre and PACU staff and learners.
• Deliver high-quality teaching and support competency-based training in partnership with Higher Education Institutions.
• Drive quality improvement, audits, and governance initiatives to enhance patient safety and service standards.
• Provide visible leadership, supporting workforce planning, recruitment, and staff development.
