Job summary

The Mental Health Rapid Response Worker will work as part of a flexible team providing enhanced care and therapeutic engagement to patients experiencing mental health crisis within AED departments across the CWP footprint.

The post holder will also support patients who are detained under the Mental Health Act, including those held under Section 136, providing appropriate care and observation while maintaining safety, dignity and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Complete patient observations and monitoring.
• Provide person-centred care and therapeutic engagement.
• Support patients who are distressed or in crisis and transport them safely to other healthcare settings.
• Assist in transporting patients between their residence and healthcare facilities as needed.
