The Mental Health Rapid Response Worker will work as part of a flexible team providing enhanced care and therapeutic engagement to patients experiencing mental health crisis within AED departments across the CWP footprint. The role will involve providing safe, compassionate and person-centred care, completing patient observations and supporting the safe transportation of patients between healthcare settings, from their place of residence and carrying out Section 135 / CTO Recalls. The post holder will also support patients who are detained under the Mental Health Act, including those held under Section 136, providing appropriate care, observation, reassurance ad support while maintaining their safety, dignity and wellbeing. The role requires effective partnership with clinical teams, emergency services and other agencies to ensure patients receive safe and compassionate care throughout their time within Urgent Care., The post holder will work collaboratively with clinical teams, emergency services and partner agencies to provide safe, effective and compassionate care to patients experiencing a mental health crisis. Responsibilities will include, completing patient observations, providing person-centred care and therapeutic engagement, supporting patients who may be distressed or in crisis , and transporting patients safely to various healthcare settings. The post holder will also contribute to maintain a safe environment and responding appropriately to service needs.
