Waythrough was launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Our vision is to break down barriers that prevent people from accessing support to live fulfilling lives. We address poverty and disadvantage through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing, and related support services.
We operate nearly 200 services across England, supported by almost 3,500 staff and volunteers, helping around 125,000 people annually.
As we integrate our systems and processes following the merger, some branding may still reflect 'Humankind'.
We are seeking a Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator to join our recovery team in County Durham. Salary will depend on experience. The team supports individuals experiencing problematic substance use and involvement with the criminal justice system.
The role involves providing tailored support to enable service users to make positive changes and equipping staff with the knowledge and resources to engage people with diverse needs within our communities.
You will collaborate with Probation, Prison, and Court services to support individuals requiring intensive support to engage with treatment. You will also assist colleagues in decision-making regarding Alcohol Treatment Requirement (ATR) and Drug Rehabilitation Requirement (DRR) orders to ensure optimal outcomes.
The role requires offering guidance to minimize harmful behavior and supporting individuals into services when necessary. Adopting a holistic, 'whole person' approach, you will ensure that each service user's care plan addresses all aspects of their wellbeing, not just substance use, to achieve the best outcomes.
