Job summary

DAC Beachcroft LLP in Glasgow is seeking a qualified Solicitor to join the Vehicle Hire & Damage (Credit Hire) team on a permanent basis. You will handle a varied caseload in Scottish courts, focusing on credit hire and motor litigation, while developing advocacy skills through court appearances.

You will contribute to business development, nurture client relationships, and collaborate with colleagues across the firm to address liability and related losses.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with demonstrable experience in managing a varied caseload in the Scottish courts.
• Credit Hire / Motor Litigation experience preferred.
• Highly organized, confident negotiator and communicator with an outstanding eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Take on a key client-facing role, acting as a point of contact for Scottish claims.
• Manage a varied caseload of litigated matters, including credit hire, damage, fraud and injury claims.
• Attend court hearings when required, developing advocacy skills.
• Engage in marketing and business development activities, including client training sessions and clinics.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the business on liability, indemnity and related losses.
• Maintain compliance with data security standards and professional training.
