Job summary

DAC Beachcroft LLP in Newport is seeking an experienced Solicitor, CILEX Lawyer or Paralegal to join the Credit Hire and Repair team. You will manage litigated motor claims, including credit hire disputes, handling a varied caseload with supervision and delivering timely, high‑quality client service.

The role can be based in Birmingham or Newport with remote working available; occasional attendance at either office for training and events is expected.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years+ experience handling litigated motor claims.
• Experience in credit hire is essential for this position.
• Ability to prioritise, organise and manage own caseload with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide a timely, professional and high-quality service to clients in the management of litigated vehicle hire and damage cases.
• Be responsible for a varied caseload of litigated work with an appropriate level of supervision.
• Act as a point of contact for clients, demonstrating a level of knowledge and skill commensurate with experience.
• Comply with internal and external service level agreements.
• To record timely and accurate management information.
• Meet individual performance measures.
• Support marketing and business development activity within the team (e.g. attending marketing events, client training, clinics and shadowing days).
