Qualifications

• Proven experience in a customer service, credit control, or customer-facing role.
• Experience in a billing, payments, or accounts-related environment is advantageous, though not essential, with full training provided.
• A strong communicator who enjoys building positive customer relationships and can confidently navigate sensitive conversations.
• A proactive problem solver with excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify effective solutions for customers.
• Comfortable discussing financial matters, including bills, balances, payments, and arrangements, with confidence and professionalism.
• Technically confident and able to navigate multiple systems and tools.
• A supportive, dependable team player who takes initiative and embraces new challenges.

Responsibilities

• Payments & Account Support: act as first point of contact for payment enquiries, process payments, set up direct debits, and maintain ledger status.
• Apply or remove account restrictions as required, handling conversations with sensitivity.
• Customer Service & Relationship Management: handle high volume inbound calls with professionalism, identify upsell opportunities, record interactions in CRM, and keep customers informed for timely resolution.
• Collaborate with colleagues to solve problems and support the wider team.
