Job summary

Vibe Recruit are recruiting an experienced Credit Controller for a busy finance team in West Bromwich. The role is permanent, full-time and fully office-based, offering £27,000 base salary plus £250 monthly bonus.

You will manage the accounts receivable ledger, chase overdue balances, issue reminders and support month-end processes. Excellent communication and Excel skills are essential for maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy Credit Control environment is essential.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills required.
• Confident telephone manner and ability to chase payments.
• Proficient with Excel and spreadsheets.
• Excellent organisation and time-management abilities.
• Ability to build strong relationships with customers.
• Experience using Kerridge would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage a section of the Accounts Receivable ledger.
• Monitor customer accounts to enforce credit terms.
• Proactively chase overdue debts by phone and email.
• Send statements and payment reminders to customers.
• Oversee debt collection and escalate when needed.
• Resolve queries and liaise with internal teams for timely resolutions.
• Send payment links and assist customers with payments.
• Process new account applications and review credit references.
• Produce spreadsheets and account information as required.
• Assist with month-end reporting and cash allocations.
• Set up new customer accounts in the accounting system.
